Macaroni with cheese
Ingredients (for 4 servings):
- Penne pasta — 200 g
- Cream 15–20% — 150 ml
- Hard cheese (such as Gouda, Emmental, or Ukrainian) — 100 g
- Butter — 20 g
- Garlic — 1 clove
- Salt, pepper — to taste
- Greens (parsley or dill) — for serving
Preparation:
- Boil the pasta for 1–2 minutes less than indicated on the package, so they remain firm.
- Melt the butter in a skillet, add the minced garlic and quickly heat.
- Add the grated cheese, stir until a uniform sauce forms. Add salt and pepper.
- Add the boiled pasta to the sauce, stir and heat for another 1–2 minutes.
- Serve hot, sprinkled with herbs.
Helpful tip
To make the dish even more juicy and aromatic, add 2–3 tablespoons of cream or a tablespoon of butter to the sauce before mixing with the spirals. This will make the sauce more tender and rich.
